While in Spain for a month, it seemed like a crime to not stop by its next-door neighbor: Portugal! We took a super brief flight into Lisbon for just two nights and one full day. However, even though poor Lisbon is supposed to be a highly gorgeous city, we were all so wiped out from how many activities we had been doing that we barely explored it and mostly just relaxed at our little AirBnB in the sunshine.
However, we stayed just long enough to walk to the beach and down a tiny bit of the downtown! The switch from the now familiar Spanish to the completely unknown to us Portuguese was dramatic, but the language barrier didn't prohibit the incredibly kind people from chatting and helping us out. One lady pointed us in the direction of her favorite gelato store which was truly AMAZING!
The most entertaining part of Lisbon was the absolutely INSANE roads. They were the most narrow streets that you could ever imagine! We stopped and cheered on a car as it crept as carefully as it could down a street that was a bit too small for it!
Overall, Portugal was incredibly beautiful and nice even though we didn't explore it very thoroughly! :)
July 24... That is when I will get to Portugal!!! I cannot wait. I am not excited about the streets with millions of people, but we will see!
