Valencia, Salou, and CARCASSONNE : Travel Blog #6

Rounding up our last few days in Spain was bittersweet but also exciting as we jumped into our first ever experience in France! From markets, to beaches, to American friends, this past week was memorable!

STOP 1: VALENCIA, SPAIN

One of my favorite movies growing up was the beloved Mirror Mirror starring Lily Collins. This Snow White recreation featured a Prince from the kingdom of, you guessed it, VALENCIA! Now I'm sure there's actually no real connection to the fictional kingdom and this beautiful town, but it was still fun to consider! We stayed for just two nights in real life Valencia, but while there we checked off a bucket list item of mine: to munch on an olive sampler in a Spanish market! We also went to a cool Gulliver themed park and a fun artsy building.

STOP 2: SALOU, SPAIN

Salou, Spain. This was truly an interesting stay. We were directly on the Mediterranean! It was breathtaking! The outside and the beach were absolutely exquisite, however walking inside was not quite as amazing. We were unfortunately less than thrilled with our Airbnb so we decided to leave a night early after enjoying a few days of dipping in the sea and playing on the most fun swing that has ever existed! We had a blast playing on the beach!!

STOP 3: CARCASSONNE, FRANCE

Carcassonne was our very first stop in France ever!! We're heading back to Carcassonne in a few weeks to actually explore, but our purpose for stopping by super briefly this time was to see one of our very best family friends from America who just happened to be on a school trip and ended up in the exact same city on the exact same day! God's coincidences are super crazy! We had a great time catching up with London!

Our introduction to France was very lovely, and we can't wait to keep exploring! Au revoir pour le moment! -Grace Teresa
